Welcome!

Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are usually community-based or university-based and are sponsored by a local Rotary club making them true "partners in service" and key members of the Rotary family.

Through the Rotaract program, young adults not only augment their knowledge and skills, but they also address the physical and social needs of their communities while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.

All Rotaract efforts begin at the local grassroots level and all Rotaract clubs have access to the many resources of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation.

• Upcoming Events

  Here are some upcoming events for this quarter. More details will come later:
  • T-shirt Design Contest: Bring your designs for the new Rotaract t-shirt to the next meeting on Jan. 27
  • Dance Marathon Deadline: Sign up to be a dancer or moraler for UCLA's dance marathon at http://dm.kintera.org. The deadline for registration is Jan. 29. Be sure to join Rotaract's team!
  • Social: There will be a social at Kency's apartment on Jan. 29 at 6pm. We will have a game night and brainstorm for a new signboard.
  • Salvation Army Valentine's Day Event: We will be helping kids make Valentine's Day crafts on Feb. 11. Arrive at Ackerman Turnaround by 3:30.
  • TV Taping: We will be going to a TV taping for the show Romantically Challenged on Feb. 18 at 5pm.
  • Project Chicken Soup: Help prepare meals for people with HIV/AIDS on Feb. 21st

Dinner Meeting - Week 10

Instead of a general meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 2nd, Rotaract will be having a dinner social at Rieber dining hall. Meet at 6pm.

World Polio Day Fundraiser Success

Thanks to everyone involved, we were able to raise an unofficial total of $395.29 which is more than double our goal!! That is enough to vaccinate almost 650 children!

Halloween at Salvation Army/No meeting this week

This Thursday, October 29th, we will be meeting at Ackerman turnaround at 4pm to volunteer at the Salvation Army Westwood Transitional Village. We will be making Halloween-themed arts and crafts with kids!

Also, there is no general meeting this Wednesday.

World Polio Day

Come to Bruin Walk on Thursday, October 22nd and Friday, October 23rd between 11:00am and 2:00pm and donate your change to Rotaract to help end polio!

First meeting of the year

Our first meeting of the 09-10 school year will be on Wednesday, September 30th at 6pm in Royce 164. Come to meet new people and hear about events planned for the year! There will also be snacks!

New site layout
